Beeds for embroidery and jewelry
Small, round beads - rocailles / seed beads and tubular - bugle beeds. Iridescent means that the surface of the glass changes in several colors. Foil inside the hole gives a glossy metallic core with colored glas all around. Metallic is opaque glass and so is pastel. Size 9/0 is smaller than size 8/0
Do this:
Bugle beads are tubular glass beads that gives the best effect in groups with the long side to long side. Also decorative as a zig-zag pattern.
To sew a sequin with a Rocaille bead: Attach thread and stitch through the fabric and sequins. Continue through the bead and back through the sequins hole to the back of the fabric, attached.
If you want to sew several small beads into long strings you should go back and attach the line with small stitches straight across the string periodically. You can then shape your pearls in the direction you want!
